Amanda was born in Boston and raised in Wayland, Massachusetts. She obtained her B.A. in Neuroscience from Colby College and is currently a PhD candidate in Immunology at Harvard University. She is generally interested in the relationship between the nervous and immune systems in the context of neurodegenerative diseases. Amanda is also interested in the general balance between the “good” and “bad” consequences immune cell activation. Amanda enjoys jogging around the Charles River and is a board member of Harvard Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (HGWISE).
